Since not much is going on right now, I decided to change the look a bit. Hope you all like it.
Sorry for not updating the site for over a month, but there were some problems with WordPress. Anyway, they’re all sorted out now, so here’s what’s been going on.
Lucas attended the Sundance film festival to promote his new film ‘To the Stars’. You can see images from a few events he attended and a couple of photoshoots he did while he was there in the gallery. There’s also a video Q+A which you can see below.
Since actual news is scarce, but I wanted to give you something for the end of the year anyway, I’ve added some older images to the gallery from the New York Film Festival ’20th Century Women’ premiere. So check those out!
The year was pretty quiet, with just a few things happening in Lucasworld. Back in February, ‘Every Day’ came out mixed reviews. Then in July, ‘Anne With an E’ got a second season on Netflix. But next year we have more things to look forward to, with ‘To the Stars’ premiereing at Sundance later in January, ‘Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets’ hopefully coming out as well, and of course, the third season of ‘Anne With an E’. So see you all next year!
Lucas turns 18 years old today. Happy birthday to Lucas and may he have much success coming his way.
Sundance Film Festival has announced its lineup for January and Lucas’ film ‘To the Stars’ is among those screening in the U.S. Dramatic Competition. Since Lucas’ role appears to be small, he probably won’t be in attendance, but you never know. As per Variety:
It’s not even December, and the Sundance Film Festival has announced more or less its entire feature film lineup, unveiling 112 films to be screened in Park City, Utah, over the course of the event, which runs from Jan. 23 – Feb. 2, 2019.
To The Stars (Director: Martha Stephens, Screenwriter: Shannon Bradley-Colleary, Producers: Kristin Mann, Laura D. Smith, Erik Rommesmo) — Under small town scrutiny, a withdrawn farmer’s daughter forges an intimate friendship with a worldly but reckless new girl in 1960s Oklahoma. Cast: Kara Hayward, Liana Liberato, Jordana Spiro, Shea Whigham, Malin Akerman, Tony Hale.
Since ‘Anne With An E’ has started airing in Canada now, CBC has posted a behind the scenes interview with Lucas and Dalmar Abuzeid who plays Bash. You can see the video here or below.
Good news, everybody. ‘Anne with an E’ has been renewed for season 3. So expect to see much more Lucas as Gilbert on your screens.
A Netflix and CBC original series, Anne with an E has been renewed for a 10-episode third season, which will begin filming this winter. Based on the original novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery, this updated series tells the same coming-of-age tale we all know and love while also taking on timely issues like identity, prejudice, feminism, bullying, gender parity, diversity and empowerment.
Season 2 ended with Gilbert (Lucas Jade Zumann) telling Anne (Amybeth McNulty) he planned to stay and work the farm with his family instead of leaving early for college, meaning there’s still a chance those two crazy kids will get together. After all, it’s hard to ignore that bit of foreshadowing when Gilbert asked whether Anne intended to follow in her teacher’s footsteps and have a “tragical romance,” to which Anne not-so-innocently responded, “Remains to be seen?”
Season 3 is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2019.
